Even though it makes sense that we can look on each others profiles, you may want to add your address here and any blogs or other accounts you want highlighted. This way it's in a closed environment and we all get to share.

What's your default? 7 Replies

Because my friend Matt asked me this the other night, I had to think about it. His is painting a blue sky and some clouds, then he waits to see if anything more comes. His skull for Skull Appreciation Day was just the blue sky & clouds cause…Continue

Who will you send  your first piece of mail to? I've been thinking about this a lot. Will it be someone in this group? Will it be one of the many mail artists I've exchanged MA with over the years? Will it be one of my letter writing friends, or my…Continue

Significant dates for the diary (some might say...) 41 Replies

McFloozy mentioned Quack Day in February and I had a message from Valentine Mark Hermann telling me of an anniversary in February. I figured that it would be best to put all the dates in one discussion, so anyone could contribute and we could all…Continue

Ha! Yeah tell me about it. It was one of those software updates where you couldn't actually decline it too. Grrr

Hi Carolyn

I've seen the one you mean and managed to rotate it. It's quite a fiddly process unfortunately and I'm not sure how to explain it.

I went into the "media" bit and edited the file then had to delete it from the post and add it again. Unfortunately a recent update has made rotating images much harder than it used to be

Hey Bonnie, I've received your request to join and will sort you out shortly. Looking forward to having you join us!

Carolyn will you be joining us on the site? I've not seen an application from you yet?

As others have said, a 365 is not meant to be stressful. It's a personal commitment to make 365 pieces, at a pace that suits you. You set your own goals really, there are no "mailart police" so just get yourself to 365 however it suits you.

Hey Yayoi - I've just assigned you your completers badge, so you're now on the completers list! http://www.mailart365.com/badges/mailart-365-completer/

Carolyn, I encourage you to make up your own rule and pace. It doesn’t mean you have to create and send mailart every single day. Let’s see, I started in Sep 2017 and just finished Dec 2018. I included 4 months sort of (summer) break hence over a year. I might start second round 365 at somepont but it will be much slower pace. I agree with Bonnie...it should be fun and relieve stress.

Hey Carolyn Cline, How've you been? Take it easy on yourself. Art is suppose to RELIEVE stress, not cause it. LOL! Love, peace, and hugs to you for the New Year! Bonnie

Thank you Jan! Yes it feels great! I have seen that watercolors set at the store before. It looks really nice. Enjoy your drawing a day project :) Happy new year!

Oh Yayoi! Huge congratulations! What a great body of work you've created!

Doesn't it feel good to have accomplished this?!

Cheers, and just in time for the new year. Happy 2019!

I think I'm going to try a painting a day for 2019 but not mailart, though many may go out into the world that way. I got a lovely set of Japanese watercolors: https://www.amazon.com/Kuretake-Picture-Letter-MC20-36V/dp/B001MPA6...

So am inspired to work with that medium for awhile.

Your latest to me with white "splash-dots" on black is really great.

It’s been a lot of mailart = a lot of fun. #365/365
