365 bird migration mail-art call in reverse... 

Not a call for mail-art, but a call for addresses!

Soon-ish the 365 bird mail-art postcards will take flight. Thing is I have nearly 200 addresses (maybe I have you on the list already), but clearly need more to be able to send all 365 in one visit to the Post Office - let me know if you or someone you know would like to receive a bird postcard in the post.

For the month of March, the Museum is soliciting mail art on the theme of "Sunrise and Sunset". All contributions become the property of the Museum, and will be photographed for our Facebook page prior to being put on display.

 "There are still wars going on in the East" 
My mother's family came as refugees from Aidin near Smyrna,(Izmir, Turkey) during the Asia Minor Catastrophe,1922.

 Gallery of Colours Exhibit , 2nd May 2016: 
 Second day of Pascha/Easter of the Orthodox Church,
 and the movable feast of Saint George who according to the texts, hit the evil dragon with his spear.Nowadays, the dominant powers fight with each other, killing the civilian population, while refugees are forced to flee from their countries and go through many hardships. In retaliation, global terrorists threaten civilians and destroy monuments of humanity.
 However, we look forward to a new time that is coming and brings forth optimism and a vision for the future.

 1.Size: max A4 
 2.All materials are permitted. 
 3.The works are not to be returned and have to be original.
 4.No photographs.
 5.Deadline: April 2. 2016
