Bonjour prettylily!

I've found that there are two main ways to proceed.

i) It makes a difference if you open up the slide and take out the negative, or not. If you do open it, you can insert the image between the 2 card sheets, and glue the 2 bits togethe  (any decent glue will do). You can also insert a second image in the slide and then you have a double-sided Single Arty Slide. I don't make these, I have single-sided ones, and put one of my 'Slide Art by Val' bits of sticky paper on the back: this helps in holding the thing together. The advantage of opening up the frame is that you can get a neater end product. The disadvantage is that the frames are hard to open up, and many of them just won't open up at all without disintegrating. That's why I use plastic slides when I can get hold of them.

ii) The second method is to leave the original negative in the frame and just stick your image on the top of it (making sure that it's cut exactly to the right size). Then put a label or sticker or something on the back. There are  2 advantages to this: a) it's easier, b) the slide remains intact.

There is another way you can proceed if you have trouble getting hold of slides, and that is to make a template from one of them, and then produce your own slides. This is what I do with some of my Double Arty Slides.

The King says that making your own slides is perfectly OK, just as long as you stick to the original dimensions.

Hope that's of some help,

Regards, Val

Oops.......Nevermind.  I think my watercolor paper was too thick.  I'll use a different weight paper.  Thank you, Val.

Val, Another question,  Is it best to cut the paper to the edge?  What do you like to use to clap them down with.  I have a couple clamped down right now, but I know I will have to touch the frame up.  Any suggestions, since you are the king?

Bonsoir prettylily! I find it amazing that so many of these slides still exist in this digital age when film has long, long gone (but I have about 20 cameras that take film, not all of which work, and not all of which i can get film for;

Now you can make singles, doubles or anythcombination you like. I've suggested that people, send at least 2 slides to everyone else, and I've been making up batches of 2 for people.

They don't take long to make, and you have until the end of the month before the mailing is supposed to start. Regards, Val

Hey Val, I found a bunch of slide holders that were still here in the house.  Are we making singles, doubles, or our choice?  I haven't signed for the exchange yet because, i don't know how many I have time for right now.

Thanks Alicia. I take note of what you won't do. At the same time I ssume that you WILL i) draw up quarterly, annual and 5-year financial plans, ii) make presentations to our steakholders and eaters, iii) be responsible for the petty cash, and the pets, and iv) send Val some Arty Slides. None of these are taxing, or rather if there are taxes then as Chief Financial officer you are responsible for them. At least until Dean gets his ski banana bindings sorted out.Regards, Val

Chief Financial Officer - perfect.

contract stipulations include but not limited to the following: i. no public speeches, ii. no board meetings, iii. no meetings period, iv. all taxing work to be delegated to the founder and CEO.

Regarding your suggestion of meeting with Dean - he is knee deep in bananas on a slippery slope.

Bonjour Janine! Your new organogram looks really good: bravo!

Three suggestions:

i) add your name to the top part of it as Hororary Secretary, after Ruuds's; And 2 of your Arty Slides

ii) see if you can get 2 Arty Slides from everyone else so that they can have images attached to their names. Then it personalises things, and you've bought a very nice touch to it.

iii) can you delete the Arty Slide to the right of my name, because it's not one of mine, and put in something that I have done? i posted some earlier.

Thanks again, Val

Alicia, you ' know nothing about money... (and) am getting a stack to mail out'? Assuming you are planning to mail out some money, well, you know my address; (I have a large letter box, so please send a large amount of money).

As to you being our second dishonorary treasurer, well why don't you work some allocation of titles out with Dean? I'd rather we had 2 people in 2 non-roles, rather than one. Why don't you Become Chief Financial Officer, or Head of Budgets or something like that ...just don't make the title too long.

Also, when you talk to Dean about this, please tell him that even though he is Dishonorary in this context, the Honorary thing for him to do is to join the Group.

Please let me know what the two of you decide, and Bianca, Trouble, a Cup of Tea and I will have an Executive Meeting and a Biscuit to confirm things. Thanks, Val
