Yes yes, good ideas, Thom, from good um logic--and remember to send to Dean SOON. You won't be sorry. He's got the inventive and funny thing going superbly.

Maybe I should "accidentally" loose more teeth--it follows logically that as a result I would then have more time to make Mail Art!  I would also probably look much more "trashy" with fewer teeth in my smile.  One must suffer for one's art, after all...

Comment by Nancy Bell Scott on April 19, 2012 at 11:38pm

It is a common one, Thom. Same thing drives me nuts, and it's so annoying to have to waste time sleeping instead of catching up with m.a. I forgot you made your trashbooks while imprisoned at home with tooth problems! We all felt very sorry for you, but you made the most of it.

Comment by Thom Courcelle on April 19, 2012 at 11:29pm

I think I made those trash boekies/my tooth fell out before Dean had a chance to join our cult, Nancy...  I am sorely lapsed for not having sent Dean anything yet--but it's in the works!  (I often feel guilty--residual ex-Catholic trauma?--that there are so many talented individuals with whom I haven't exchanged art yet... which is ironic seeing as how one of the reasons I joined IUOMA was to increase my list of postal friends--now I can't keep up with all the fabulous people to whom I'd like to mail stuff!!  I suppose that's a common guilt, but it doesn't lessen my own guilty feelings any.)

Don't forget Thom, he made trashbooks. Extremely tidy but wonderful ones.

Erni, the Spahn Ranch - that's it! Forgot that you had actually visited the place.

Other Trashbook projects - ok, I admit moving slowly - is a translation of DK's Trashpo into English & some sort of collection of Neil's TrAshemics to see if they do contain prophecies, but the D-Koder ring doesn't work with Neil's stuff.

A&S Are you a Trashpo Banana?

Comment by Lynn Radford on April 19, 2012 at 8:48pm

Diane, I could no more take Dean's advice than I could quit digging in my trash for bits and pieces to add to my collages! For better or worse, you're my people now...

Comment by Lynn Radford on April 19, 2012 at 8:41pm

Dear Dean,

Thanks for the kind warning, but I really do think this is where I belong... The humor, the trash, the poetry, the art, the mail, the misguided, misdirected, multi-purpose mix... I had considered the Bananas... for the obvious FUN you mentioned, but I'll have to catch up on my correspondence before allowing myself another group tie. My trash bin is overflowing and so is the list of folks to whom I owe mail!

Lynn
